As we previewed with Jack Roush’s personal Mustang, the Roush Stage 3 Mustang Premier Edition is returning for the 2013 model year as a collaborative creation by Roush and Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes. The two companies have a long standing partnership, both on and off the race track, so offering a premium paint vehicle was a natural extension for the relationship. In addition to the special colors, the vehicle also features a wealth of other premium features including painted stripes, Premier Edition side badges, vehicle-matching interior elements, as well as the horsepower and suspension enhancements that you would expect from a Roush Mustang.
The 2013 model offers 12 vibrant main body colors including five new unique paint colors and seven popular colors shared with the 2012 model. New colors for 2013 include Iridescence, Punch it Purple, Cabernet, V8 Red, and Launch it Lemon. The primary and secondary graphic colors are offered in all 12 main body colors as well as six additional colors including Gloss Black, Matte Black Jack, Motor City Iron, Sin City Silver, Red-Blooded American, and Light Gold.
The look of the 2013 Roush RS3 Mustang Premier Edition is also transformed by the new Roush R6 Aerobody Kit featuring unique front end styling with high flow upper and lower front grilles, driving lamps with pockets and the new front fascia chin splitters. Rocker panel side splitters, rear fascia side splitters along with the race-inspired, rear diffuser design, rear aero valance and 20-inch wheels in chrome or hyper black also transform the Mustang’s exterior into a Roush.
The 2013 Stage 3 Mustang Premier Edition shares the Stage 3 horsepower increase thanks to the Roush R2300 TVS Supercharger that takes the 5.0L V8 to 565 and 505 ft-lb of torque complete with a 3 year / 36,000 mile drivetrain warranty. The Premier Edition is also available with an optional post-title upgrade to 625 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of torque, however the 3 year / 36,000 mile powertrain warranty becomes a Roush-parts-only warranty. Additional performance parts include a Roush suspension system and 14-inch 4-piston front brakes. Optional 6-piston brakes are available for those looking for even more stopping power.
For those looking for a truly personalized Mustang, Roush can provide a custom color design consultation for the 2013 Mustang. The consultation is done in person at the Roush Performance Speed Shop in Plymouth, Michigan with the Roush design team prior to build (Hotel and airfare not included).
Production of the 2013 Roush Stage 3 Mustang Premier Edition will be limited to just 25 units.
